November 2020 - The Virginia Tech Center for Communicating Science recently held the Fifth Annual Nutshell Games in which participants (graduate students) make a 90 seconds research presentation to a panel of judges and public audiences.  Click here to read more about the 2020 Nutshell Games.
     Economics well well-represented in this year's Nutshell Games with not one, but two of our graduate students participating in the event.

Muchin Bazan's presentation, "Women in STEM: The Role of Role Models" created quite a buzz and garnered 1,121 views and 346 "likes" between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. on November 7, 2020, earning her the inaugual People's Choice Award of the Nutshell Games.
