Free Economics Tutoring

Free tutoring is available for all students enrolled in ECON 2005 (Microeconomics) and ECON 2006 (Macroeconomics). Our tutoring team includes graduate students from our M.A. and Ph.D. programs, along with some of our top undergraduate economics majors.

Tutors can help you review course concepts, work through practice problems, and develop study strategies. While they cannot assist with graded assignments, they can guide you in understanding the material so you can approach your work with confidence.

Tutoring is just one of the resources available to help you succeed:

• Professor Office Hours: Your instructors are your best resource for clarifying course expectations and connecting concepts to assignments. Check your syllabus for their office hours and location.
• Additional Section Resources: Some course sections offer guided study groups, review sessions, or online discussion boards. Ask your professor about what’s available in your class.
• Student Success Center: Offers individual tutoring, group drop-in tutoring, and on-demand tutoring through Knack for a variety of Virginia Tech courses. Visit the Student Success Center to learn more.
