September 6, 2019 - Please welcome Dr. Melanie Fox; she has been hired as a new Collegiate Faculty member and Undergraduate Director in the Department of Economics.
        Dr. Fox holds a BA, MA, and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Houston. Her research interests are in economic pedagogy, child health, and the economics of grief. She is author and co-author of several books, and co-created the Economics Scholars Program, the largest undergraduate economics research conference that is held annually at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Prior to coming to Virginia Tech, she held the Jack B. Morris Professorship in Public Policy at Austin College, was the Economics Fellow at Khan Academy, and was on the Faculty at the University of Louisville.
