Summer Seminar Philosophy of Statistics: July 28-August 11, 2019
Aris Spanos co-directed the Summer Seminar entitled: Philosophy of Statistics with professor Deborah Mayo.  The seminar, which began on July 28, 2019 and finished August 11, 2019, consisted of approximately fifteen participants from around the globe and included professors from a variety of disciplines such as statistics, philosophy of science, psychology and economics.  Participants not only gained a stronger background in statistical methodology, but also studied how current statistical debates on the philosophical foundations of statistics relate to problems of evidence , inference, data and statistical modeling vs. inference.
