September 9, 2020 - Congratulations to Dr. Eric Bahel for his appointment to the Patricia Caldwell Faculty Fellowship!

The Fellowship is awarded on a competitive basis and was established by a generous donation from Ms. Patricia Caldwell (VT alumna, 71) to enhance the national and international prominence of the Virginia Tech College of Science by recruiting, developing and retaining outstanding faculty.

Dr. Bahel's research covers the fields of social choice and mechanism design, where he studies collective choice mechanisms and voting rules, and  resource/environmental economics, where he works on the optimal development of alternative sources of energy and the mitigation of climate change through international environmental agreements.
